The Austrian vest Lanamoden is a unique piece, made from exceptionally high-quality wool. This vest, which belonged to my mother, is a tribute to quality and durability. The complex pattern, passed down from generation to generation, bears witness to a precious artisanal know-how.

Quality and Complexity

The quality of the wool used is exceptional, offering both softness and resistance. The complex pattern, the result of meticulous work, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to this piece. Every detail is carefully thought out to create a vest that is both aesthetic and durable.

Modernization of Style

To give this vest a more modern touch, I replaced the traditional buttons with a fluo orange zipper, a reference to safety clothing. This modification brings a more urban and contemporary look, while preserving the classic essence of the piece. I also added a reversible hood made from Dries van Noten fabric, purchased during the brand's fabric stock sales in Antwerp. The choice of this fabric, soft and reversible, contrasts while complementing the green colour of the wool.

Ecological Commitment

The modifications made to this vest allowed me to appropriate the garment and wear it with pride. It is also a way to consume differently, by giving a second life to existing materials and promoting more responsible fashion.
